Error 10008 when using mailmig.exe for Lotus Notes conversion

For Lotus Notes conversion to Exchange Server/Outlook, many of us take help of Mailmig.exe utility. Mailmig.exe command-line utility is used to migrate Lotus Notes users to Exchange 2000, but sometimes the migration may fail and you may receive errors in form of event ID logs worsening the migration process.

The following event ID messages are logged in the Application event log in Event Viewer when mailmig.exe utility fails midway while migrating from Lotus Notes to Outlook.

Reason behind these event IDs

This problem may occur if you use the Mailmig.exe command-line utility and if the NTAccounts parameter is set to NO in the control file.
Resolution

To resolve this issue, use the graphical user interface (GUI) version of the Migration Wizard instead of the Mailmig.exe command-line utility. To start the Migration Wizard GUI, click Start -->All Programs-->Microsoft Exchange-->Migration Wizard.
